Job Description Pay Range: Starting at $19.75 an hour Role: The primary function of this position is to assist Gulf Winds in achieving its strategic goals for sales by building member relationships. This position actively solicits and establishes new relationships and enthusiastically maintains member relationships. In addition to hourly income, this position has an incentive program that gives the employee the opportunity to earn additional compensation. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Builds relationships by identifying member needs and cross-sell opportunities, and following up on all opportunities. Maintains existing relationships by scheduling time, and following through, to reach out to members in the weeks and months after loan closing Opens and closes deposit and loan accounts, answers questions about products and services, resolves all issues with respect to accounts, products and services, escalates or transfers resolution of issues to supervisor or appropriate department when necessary. Prepares and reviews deposit and loan documents for completeness and accuracy. Places outbound sales calls and pursues success by seeking out training/coaching. Acts as liaison between members and various departments. Maintains member account information in all systems. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Performance Measurements: Reaches monthly and quarterly goals for new account and loan production. Protects member loans according to standards set by management. Cross sells products and builds relationships according to goals set by management. Documents new accounts and loans with 100% accuracy and in accordance with all applicable regulations. Troubleshoots and resolves member and internal inquiries in a timely and accurate manner. Ensures compliance with all applicable credit union policies and procedures, and all applicable regulations. Complies with queue adherence standards. Complies with all applicable rules, regulations and policies, including but not limited to BSA, OFAC and Physical Security. Knowledge and Skills: Experience: One year to three years of similar or related experience. Education: A high school education or GED. Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build relationships via phone and internet. Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation. Other Skills: Able to operate a 10 key calculator, excellent PC skills, proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office programs. Must be bondable Applicable licenses required to sell Loan Payment Protection products Sales Experience and/or demonstrated sales ability High level multitasking Clear, concise communication skills Ability to read, write, comprehend, and speak English clearly. Normally expected to work an 8-hour shift between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., but may be required to work nights and/or weekends. Must adhere to safety rules and regulations Physical Requirements: This position involves sitting for extended periods of time with a headset on, while monitoring information on two computer screens.
