Position Description
Manages and directs the day to day operations of a research center/institute or medium sized department. Plans, coordinates and supervises the operation and activities of the center/institute/department. Develops and implements policies and procedures, administers the budget, organizes tasks and sets priorities.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Manages the SOM finance team, which is responsible for reporting, budgeting, financial analysis, and state reporting.
  • Responsible for preparing annual and monthly reports for all campuses.
  • Manages contractual payments from partner hospitals.
  • Monitors SOM budgets throughout the year and prepares annual budgets.
  • Presents financial reports at various meetings.
  • Serves on various committees.
  • Provides accounting oversight and reporting for the Dean's Office funds.
  • Oversees financial analysis of physician service agreements with contracted partners, including hospital partners.
  • Oversees uncompensated care reporting and submission.
  • Has strong communication skills.


Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required, master's preferred; Six years progressively responsible management experience. Additional education beyond Bachelor's may substitute for experience on a year for year basis.
