Overview

As an Advisor Success Director for The Global Travel Collection (GTC) you will have overall responsibility for the professional development, growth, engagement and retention of the companies' advisors and clients. You will support the Independent Advisors by using data insight, industry knowledge, experience and an understanding of the resources and travel technology provided by GTC to consult and apply best practices, improve workflow, encourage adoption of tools, identify incremental revenue opportunities, and develop short- and long-term business goals. You will have ownership for leading, coaching and developing a team of Advisor Success Managers, as well as executing departmental growth strategies. This position plays an integral role in the execution of any related projects or initiatives that impact GTC revenue and supporting advisor retention.

The salary range on this job posting/advertising has been developed to give applicants a wide range to comply with pay transparency laws in all states and geographical areas. The salary range posted represents the pay range for U.S. candidates. This role may be eligible for an incentive, commission, bonus, or a discretionary bonus program based on the company's financial goal achievement and individual performance.



Responsibilities

    Coach, develop and lead a team of Advisor Success Managers, sharing information during regular team calls and holding them accountable for the completion of goals.
  • Encourage and empower team members to be leaders and decision makers so they can foster consistent and credible relationships directly with our advisors.
  • Provide departmental leadership including coordination of internal analytical, strategical, and technical resources to deliver on internal and external client's needs and expectations.
  • Develop business strategies for department and build synergies, process improvements with other internal areas. Proactively identify opportunities to create advisor value, streamline processes, and eliminate confusion or ineffective support within GTC.
  • Manage and support a portfolio of high value independent advisors providing direction and consultation in-person, via phone, email, and / or video conferencing platforms.
  • Serve as an example to your team by supporting the delegation of all tactical and non-strategic support activities to the Office Support Manager and directing advisors to GTC internal departments designed to support our independent advisors. Serve as an escalation point and mediator for unresolved issues.
  • Foster and nurture consultative relationships with the Advisor Success Management team and the Independent Advisors within your portfolio leveraging internal and external individuals and / or teams supporting GTC advisors.
  • Conduct and support proactive consultative conversations with your portfolio of advisors, analyzing data trends to identify and recommend strategic and tactical solutions to support business growth and retention, summarizing the conversation and subsequent action items within the CRM.
  • Ensure advisor adoption and engagement of GTC products and services.
  • Share and demonstrate knowledge and support of advisor's overall portfolio of business along with their short-term and long-term goals through regular and frequent discussions that focus on business trends, preferred supplier utilization, technology and travel tools, professional development education opportunities, best practices and goal setting and execution.
  • Build credibility and trust within your portfolio of advisors and your team by effectively articulating and demonstrating the overall value GTC provides.
  • Effectively collaborate with internal and external departments to support Global Travel Collection initiatives and goals including, but not limited to strategically onboarding and offboarding advisors.
  • When warranted, collaborate with the sales and business development team to pursue new corporate clients and retain existing ones.
  • Pursue opportunities for portfolio growth and new business by partnering with independent advisors, their clients, and our internal business development team.
  • Provide direction and oversight for new business travel client implementations.


Qualifications

  • 7-10+ years of travel industry account management and / or operational experience (both preferred), experience working as, with, or alongside independent travel advisors is a plus
  • 5+ years of experience engaging with Independent Advisors/Contractors preferred.
  • Experience leading a team in a sales or account management capacity is a plus.
  • Growth minded and passionate about serving and supporting advisors.
  • Salesforce or other CRM experience preferred.
  • Skilled communicator with great interpersonal skills, proven ability to build and manage relationships.
  • Prior live and virtual training experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience with analytical support using various reports and information.
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Proven problem solver with ability to deescalate conflict and asses' potential risk.
  • Working knowledge of the GDS - Sabre, Worldspan or Apollo a plus.
  • Attention to detail and highly organized.
  • Clear understanding of the various industry fee structures, travel technologies and trends.
  • Proficient use of all Microsoft Office Products with an emphasis on Word, Excel, Teams and Power Point, as well as the ability to learn new technologies.
  • Working knowledge and previous utilization of a CRM tool is preferred.
