Responsibilities

The Manager of Performance Improvement leads improvement of clinical outcomes through program evaluation and performance improvement functions including monitoring programs for compliance with quality standards, implementing tools used for programs and service evaluation, and organizing data collection and information analysis. This position also spearheads special projects as defined by departmental leadership and is responsible for collaborating with program stakeholders and business leaders to ensure on time and on target execution. Oversees facility Patient Advocates. Responsible for ensuring compliance in all Joint Commission (JC), CMS, AHCA, OSHA, federal and state regulatory standards.


Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree Required. Master's degree from an accredited college or university perferred.

Experience:

Five (5) years clinical experience in a psychiatric inpatient facility preferred. Three (3) years management experience with a working knowledge of management, outcome measurement, team development, and quality tools (preferably healthcare). Strong knowledge of The Joint Commission, CMS, AHCA, OSHA standards and any other applicable federal and state laws and regulations governing mental health care facilities preferred.

License/Certification:

None required

Skills:

Must have good verbal and written communications skills in order to communicate in a clear and concise manner with employees, patients, the general public, physicians and administrative personnel.

Must have good analytical ability to interpret and analyze Performance and Quality Improvement data. Must have the ability to plan, direct, implement and evaluate Performance and Quality Improvement activities for the facility.

Must have excellent computer skills.

Physical Requirements:

Visual acuity, accurate hearing, extensive sitting most of the day, some standing. Must lift up to twenty (20) pounds and walk the campus periodically.
