Responsibilities

Texoma Medical Center, a 414-bed acute care facility has been providing quality health care to the residents of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma since 1965. Our main campus is located in Denison, Texas, approximately one hour north of the Dallas/Fort Worth area and just south of the Texas/Oklahoma border. Under the direction of the CFO, this position is responsible to plan, organize, direct, and supervise department programs. Ensure service excellence development, personnel management, and resource allocation and control. Assume direction of participation in special projects as needed. Coordinate hospital-wide compliance with state and federal regulations. Ensure that appropriate revenue cycle processes and policies are in place. Responsible to ensure appropriate investigation and effective resolution for cash control processes. Review multiple reports daily to monitor daily hospital charges and overall revenue. Manages all aspects of billing and patient account collections. Provide direction to Business Office staff including financial counseling, medical billing, collections and data entry. Achieves facility goals for accounts receivable days and collections.


Qualifications

College courses in accounting, business or finance required. Bachelor's degree strongly preferred. May consider appropriate business office management experience of at least five (5) years in lieu of degree.

At least five (8) years of Hospital Admissions/Business Office experience required with at least five (5) years of management experience, high volume acute care setting strongly preferred. Strong accounting and revenue cycle background. Must have significant grasp of appropriate cash flow processes for acute care facilities.

Must be able to write formulas in Microsoft Excel, have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word. Must have excellent writing and communication skills. Past experience with Invision and Siemens Sorian DSS is a plus. If no experience with Sorian DSS, must be willing to learn and become fluent within six (6) months of hire. Must have a strong knowledge of how the revenue cycle in an acute care hospital should be set up and maintained. Must review multiple reports daily to keep an eye on departmental charges and overall hospital revenue. Be able to interact professionally
and effectively with patients, hospital staff, Management and Senior Management.
