UNM Medical Group, Inc. is hiring for a Medical Coding Supervisor to join our Coding Department. This opportunity is a REMOTE, full-time, day shift opening located in New Mexico. *This is a work from home position that requires the selected candidate to have a permanent address and live in New Mexico or be willing to relocate to New Mexico* Minimum $58,905 - Midpoint $73,632* *Salary is determined based on years of total relevant experience. *Salary is based on 1.0 FTE (full time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Less than 40 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the appropriate FTE. Summary Reporting to Manager, Medical Coding, responsible for supervising the day-to-day activities of medical coding staff. Prepares and analyzes reports to monitor and improve efficiency, accuracy and work load allocation of medical coding staff. Works closely with Manager and Director to help identify areas for medical coding operational improvement. Minimum Job Requirements of a Medical Coding Supervisor: High school diploma or GED with 3 years of medical coding experience. 1-year experience in a Lead or Supervisory role preferred. Certification in at least one of the following: CPC, CPC-P, CCS, CCS-P, RHIA, or RHIT. Verification of education and licensure will be required if selected for hire.
