This position has a key responsibility in shaping the overall public image of the institution through the development and deployment of marketing and communication strategies that strengthen the brand, purpose, and culture of the organization. Responsible for visual styles and standards as related to the use of multimedia modalities. Provides overall management of work production related to digital (e.g. external website, digital advertising), print (e.g. direct mail, publications, print advertising, and patient and visitor print collateral) and outdoor advertising, among other visual mediums including select presentations. Exercises independent judgment and creativity ensuring imagery and messaging is consistent and furthers the purpose, mission, and values of the organization.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design EXPERIENCE: 1. Ensures the timely development and execution of marketing collateral to ensure strategic marketing goals are achieved. 2. Works in partnership with internal staff and WVU Trademark Licensing and University Relations to ensure compliance with brand standards including imagery, text, and graphic elements for the marketing group. 3. Serves as a "collaborator" between CCMC and WVU creative teams to ensure a high-degree of alignment around the timing and implementation of cooperative marketing campaigns as necessary. 4. Provides strategic concept and visual asset development for the marketing group 5. Provides technical leadership in the selection of and creative consultations of graphic production with external client services agencies (freelancers and external designers) to ensure appropriate creative strategies, adequacy/accuracy of input, schedules, production support, and necessary reviews. 6. Maintains external professional relationships to assure the ongoing availability of specialized expertise, gifted freelancers, and reputable studios/producers when their services are required. 7. Collaborates with department colleagues, clinical and hospital leadership, and staff to ensure integrated and coordinated marketing efforts and provides graphic leadership for a wide range or projects. 8. Proficiency in multimedia/web software such as Premiere Pro. 3. Proficiency in the following graphic publishing software including but not limited to the following is preferred: InDesign and Adobe Acrobat. 4. Expertise in graphic imaging software including but not limited to the following is necessary: Photoshop and Illustrator. 5. Skill in digital photography preferred. 6. Knowledge of contemporary digital technology. 7. Facility in programming languages such as HTML 8. Technical and design proficiency in prepress, decision-making, planning, and operations (all print media) preferred. 9. Ability to manage multiple projects and ensure timely completion of those projects for clients. 10. Ability to build consensus and align divergent viewpoints in the development of visual imagery.
