Position Description
Position Description Conducts laboratory procedures such as embryo and blastocyst culturing, assisted hatching (opening the layer of cells surrounding a fertilized egg to improve the odds of implantation), intracytoplasmic sperm injection (injecting a single sperm into an egg), and the cryopreservation of embryos.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Embryo transfer and facilitation of injection of sperm to appropriate embryo's.
  • Assisting with fertilization and process for care of embryo's on as needed basis.
  • Temporary non-benefited position for on call embryologist duties


Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in a life science; six years of experience of which two are in human embryo culture which include but are not limited to: media preparation, oocytes identification, oocytes insemination, ICSI, fertilization detection, oocytes and embryo culture, preparation for transfer, embryo Cryopreservation, semen preparation, semen analysis. General laboratory QC and QM experience. Additional education may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
