Symetra is seeking a Training Specialist to join our Contact Center Operations Team!

About the role

In this role, you will design, develop, implement and facilitate new hire, technical, procedural, developmental, and product training in our Life and Retirement Contact Center.

What you will do



  • Craft and develop training modules (both Instructor-led and Web based) using instructional design methodology and web-based training authoring tools to support new and existing employee technical, procedural, and soft-skill needs.
  • Deliver technical, procedural, product, soft skill and developmental training to employees.
  • Conduct Needs Analysis and provide consultative guidance on training approaches and standard methodologies as it relates to business process documentation.
  • Build formalized training plans for new employees and identify training needs for existing employees.
  • Create and maintain training materials and reference tools.

Compensation

Salary Range: $64,200 - $106,900 plus eligibility for annual bonus program

Who You Are



  • High School Diploma required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3+ years' experience in training design, development and delivery required.
  • Solid experience with instructional design principles, the ADDIE model, performance consulting, needs analysis, and adult learning theory.
  • Professional training certification preferred.
  • Insurance industry experience and/or relevant product knowledge plus.
  • Proven success with delivering learning solutions.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience using PowerPoint, SharePoint, and other learning technologies, such as eLearning software, virtual classroom technology, Learning Management Systems (LMS), 3rd party learning applications, etc.
  • Outstanding communication and multi-tasking skills.
  • High attention to detail, quality and accuracy.
  • Great collaboration skills.
  • Able to influence and build relationships with a variety of internal partners and learners.
  • Adept project management, and organization skills.
  • Strong creative problem-solving abilities.
