Pay Grade/Pay Range: Minimum: $18.32 - Midpoint: $21.97 (Hourly N4)

Department/Organization: 204711 - Psychology

Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 20 hours/week

Job Summary: The Accounting Assistant II maintains accurate financial records. Provides accounting and bookkeeping support. Assists University staff in understanding industry standards, current laws, and university policy as it relates to the financial affairs of the University. Provides guidance and trains entry-level Accounting Assistants.

Additional Department Summary: Works with Department of Psychology faculty and staff. Assists with sponsored project awards with budget coordination and expenditure planning . Purchases supplies and equipment. Completes research participant payments. Balances budgets monthly. Prepares ePAs for grant faculty, staff, and graduate students. Develops and maintains database for grant reports and activities.

Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED and two (2) years of accounting or bookkeeping experience; OR associate's degree or higher.

Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with UA systems (Concur, Banner, Everest K2, etc.) Grant and budget management experience.
