General Manager

Location: Wausau/Minocqua

Are you a strong leader with extensive experience in the heavy- and medium-duty truck industry? Truck Country is seeking a General Manager to oversee operations at our Wausau and Minocqua locations. This role provides a unique opportunity to lead a team, drive business growth, and ensure exceptional customer service.

What You'll Do:

As General Manager, you'll oversee all aspects of dealership operations, including sales, service, parts, and financing. Your responsibilities will include:

• Acting as the new and used truck sales manager.
• Collaborating with customers, vendors, and employees to meet business goals.
• Monitoring competition and implementing strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
• Hiring, training, and motivating dealership staff.
• Achieving and exceeding financial performance targets for the dealerships.
• Maintaining the highest ethical standards in all operations.

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Marketing (preferred).
• At least 5 years of experience in truck dealership operations, sales management, or fixed operations.
• Strong leadership skills and a proven ability to manage and motivate teams.
• Thorough knowledge of the heavy- and medium-duty truck industry and products.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and general computer skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• A professional, organized, and detail-oriented approach.
• Ability to handle confidential information securely.
• Flexibility to travel occasionally, including overnight stays, and work extended hours as needed.
