Summary
The Category Consultant will develop and implement retail initiatives to meet and exceed Hershey and customer objectives. The Category Consultant will be an expert in the pervasive application of insights to fuel retail growth. Key to role is synthesizing business trends, competitive trends, shopper insights, financial insights, etc., to identify opportunities and develop solutions to drive retail growth across the store. The Category Consultant will influence and support 3-year annual planning through the pervasive use of insights and capabilities.
Responsibilities
Category Captain
-The Indispensable Category partner to the customer buying team, focused on the Halloween and Take Home businesses
-Utilizes many different data sources to include Circana, Numerator, SOLVE, JDA, etc. to drive insights
Hershey Sales Partner
-Collaborates with sales team on meeting strategy and preparation to include, but not limited to Customer Reviews, GCIC, JBP, bi-weekly meetings, etc.
-Partners with Manager of Human Insights to develop and deploy the insights plan for the Drug channel
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree Required
Experience: This position requires previous CPG Sales and/or Category Management experience (approximately 3-5 years), analytical skills, understanding of consumer/shopper behavior and market research strategies and methods, knowledge of consumer sales industry trends and complete working knowledge of the category management process
