Assists in the analysis, development and implementation of Personal Lines Insurance products and features. This includes evaluation of pricing, underwriting, marketing, competitor research, customer satisfaction and customer acquisition initiatives. Works under the guidance of management and actively contributes information that leads to data-driven business decisions that facilitate premium and profitable growth.

This position will be located out of our Middleton, WI or Stevens Point, WI office locations.

What You'll Do:

As a Product Specialist, you will assist in the analysis, development and implementation of Personal Lines Insurance products and features. In addition, you will:

  • Queries, cleans, and manipulates data, performs analyses, and prepares recommendations related to the external environment

  • Conducts analyses and research that lead to influencing business decisions in such areas as financial performance, rate of return, sales, and more

  • Creates and modifies standard reports and customized analyses in support of meeting business unit targets

  • Evaluates the impact of program and process changes in key metrics, and develops tools and methods to monitor and evaluate financial and pricing impacts.

  • Prepares forecasts and reports and analyzes trends in such areas as pricing, loss ratios, and other related areas

What it Takes:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience, degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or Graduate degree highly desired

  • 0-3+ years of related work experience, preferably in the P&C Insurance industry

  • Strong skills in MS Office with emphasis in Microsoft Excel. Experience with pivot tables and manipulating large data sets highly preferred

  • Basic knowledge of data analysis tools such as Python, SAS, SQL, or R, strong knowledge is preferred

  • Demonstrated leadership, problem solving, and analytical skills with proven ability to effectively communicate, develop relationships, and make data driven decisions

  • Ability to effectively communicate findings in written, verbal, and visual presentations

  • Ability to think creatively and demonstrate curiosity in the review of data

  • Ability to work independently as well as with others in a team environment
