Tufts University: School of Arts & Sciences: Biology Description The Department of Biology at Tufts University is seeking a part-time instructor to teach a non-major plant biology course (Bio 10B - "Plants and Humanity" -or related title) during Tufts' Summer School session B (July 1- August 8, 2025). The course should treat elements of plant architecture, growth, function, diversity, and human and environmental relevance of plants. Topics in the past have included carnivorous plants, epiphytes, and mangroves, soils and mineral nutrition, and the expanding importance of groups ranging from seaweeds to climate-dodging millet. Enrollment is about 20. The course carries Natural Sciences Distribution credit, and highlights resilience and stability driven by biodiversity. |
