TEACHER STARTING SALARY IS $48,700. Additional Referendum money is available for the next four years starting at $5400 for the 24-25 school year; teachers hired during the school year will receive a prorated supplement amount based on the date of hire. Job Summary The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)'s primary function is to design, implement, and monitor behavior intervention plans based on applied behavior analysis techniques. Provides training, mentoring and coaching to school and district personnel on effective behavioral interventions. Essential Functions 1. Provides direct Applied Behavior Analysis services to assigned students as needed. 2. Conducts observations and functional behavioral assessments. Designs, implements, and monitors behavior intervention plans. 3. Develops crisis intervention plans when needed. 4. Coordinates regularly scheduled sessions for staff involved in behavioral support and provides assistance with behavioral/social problems of students served by these teachers and support personnel. 5. Provides training and coaching on Applied Behavior Analysis techniques. 6. Ensures psychosocial and behavioral data has been gathered and maintained on targeted students by coordinating with parents, District staff, and community mental health professionals. 7. Supports implementation of effective behavioral interventions by developing and conducting training for teachers, District staff and parents and attending IEP meetings as necessary. 8. Collaborates with parents, behavior specialists, mental health professionals, agency personnel, and educators in case management and problem-solving. 9. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Experience: Three (3) years successful teaching or work experience with students on the autism spectrum and/or students with behaviorally complex needs. Experience with special education and related services for students with disabilities. Salary is based on verified years of teaching experience. Certifications & Licenses: Board certification as a Behavior Analyst AND Florida Department of Education teaching certification in at least one (1) area of Exceptional Student Education, Guidance and Counseling or School Psychology.
