The Trauma Nurse Practitioner works in collaboration with the Trauma Medical Director and additional members of the professional health care team to participate in the diagnosis, treatment and management of trauma patients admitted to the Trauma Service. The Trauma Nurse Practitioner's practice incorporates both independent and collaborative decision making under the direction and guidance of the Trauma Attending Physicians, as well as in accordance with established clinical protocols to provide high quality evidence-based care to trauma patients. The Nurse Practitioner is responsible to the medical director and the Trauma Program Manager and functions as an integral part of the medical team. QUALIFICATIONS Level of Education
