**Job Summary:**

As a Fuel Project Engineer at DAWSON, you will be responsible for providing engineering and construction services for ground products fueling facilities. This includes overseeing projects related to bulk storage tanks, fueling piers, pipeline systems, pumphouses, truck loading/offloading terminals, and aircraft direct refueling facilities. Your role will involve critical thinking skills applied to planning, procurement support, design, construction, and commissioning phases of various projects.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Coordinate internally and externally with other execution disciplines and suppliers as directed by the Fuels Director.

- Adhere to industry standards from organizations such as the American Petroleum Institute, National Fire Protection Association, American Society of Mechanical Engineers, American Society of Civil Engineers, and the American Concrete Institute.

- Interact with clients, interpret their needs, and translate requirements to field personnel.

- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to develop cost-effective solutions while maintaining project profitability.

- Review, interpret, and edit specifications, drawings, and scope of work documents.

- Prepare technical documents like scopes of work, specifications, drawings, estimates, work method procedures, and project reports.

- Ensure construction practices meet federal, state, and local codes, industry standards, and contractual requirements.

- Manage necessary documents and information to support construction activities.

- Collect productivity data for estimating activities.

**Qualifications:**

- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.

- Minimum of seven years of experience as a Registered Engineer on design-build DoD Fuels projects.

- Registered professional engineer or architect with an active registration.

- Familiarity with USACE EM 385-1-1 requirements, hazard identification, safety compliance, and sustainability.

- Knowledge and experience with industry standards like API Std 650, API Std 653, API RP 2016, API Std 2015, and UFC 3-460-01.

- Experience with USACE, AFCEC, and NAVFAC agencies preferred.

- API 653 certification desired.

- API 570 certification desired.

- Completion of "Construction Quality Management (CQM) for contractors" course.

- US Citizenship and ability to pass a background check.

- Willingness to travel 10-15% of the time.

- AutoCAD experience preferred.
