Applied Industrial Technologies is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Field Service Manager to oversee the high -level operations of our field service teams. This role will focus on the safety of technicians, maintenance of assets, and streamlining field service systems, while ensuring the efficient management of fleet, compliance with DOT and MSHA regulations, and the development and training of our technical personnel. The Regional Field Service Manager will drive the strategy and direction for field services to ensure exceptional service delivery to our clients and continued growth for the organization. Key Responsibilities: Conveyor Belt Installation and Maintenance:
- Provide guidance and expertise in all aspects of conveyor belt installation, repair, and ongoing maintenance for clients in the assigned region.
- Ensure installation projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet client specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to conveyor belt systems in the field.
Training and Development:
- Develop and implement training programs for field technicians on equipment, safety protocols, and best practices.
- Mentor and coach field service technicians to enhance their skills, ensure high-quality service, and promote career growth.
- Monitor the performance and development of field technicians, providing regular feedback and performance evaluations.
Asset Tracking and Fleet Management:
- Oversee the management and tracking of field service assets, including tools, equipment, and vehicles, ensuring proper maintenance, utilization, and accountability.
- Implement systems for tracking fleet usage and coordinate maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and optimize fleet operations.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, MSHA (Mine Safety and Health Administration) requirements, and company safety standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and ensure all field service staff are properly trained on safety protocols.
- Implement and enforce safety guidelines to ensure the well-being of field service employees and clients.
Strategy and Leadership:
- Develop and execute the overall strategy for field services in the region, aligning with the company's broader business objectives.
- Lead and direct field service operations, ensuring efficiency, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and increased operational effectiveness.
- Collaborate with senior management to ensure alignment with corporate goals and identify growth opportunities.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services and timely project completion.
- Address client concerns or issues promptly, escalating to management when necessary.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare and deliver regular reports on field service performance, project status, fleet operations, and other key metrics to senior management.
- Ensure proper documentation for all field service activities, including maintenance logs, project reports, and compliance records.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent experience in field service management.
- Proven experience in managing field service teams, with a strong background in industrial equipment (preferably conveyor systems).
- Knowledge of DOT and MSHA regulations, safety protocols, and industry best practices.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with asset management and fleet tracking software.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to travel within the assigned region and manage a geographically dispersed team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with industrial automation or conveyor systems.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and other industry-specific software.
- Safety certifications (e.g., OSHA, MSHA, etc.).
