MEP Inspector - Aviation

STV is seeking a MEP Inspector - Aviation for the Construction Management Group.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspection & Quality Control:

• Conduct inspections of MEP installations (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire protection, etc.) to ensure compliance with design, standards, and specifications.

• Review and verify materials, equipment, and installations against approved shop drawings and technical submittals.

• Identify and report non-conformances and recommend corrective actions.

• Witness testing and commissioning of MEP systems, ensuring proper functionality and integration.

• Ensure compliance with international codes (NFPA, NEC, ASHRAE, etc.), airport regulations, and local authority standards.

Project Coordination & Reporting:

• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project managers to ensure smooth execution of MEP works.

• Review and maintain daily logs, site reports, and inspection records.

• Participate in progress meetings and provide updates on quality, safety, and work status.

• Assist in resolving technical issues related to MEP systems and installations.

Safety & Compliance:

• Ensure that all MEP works adhere to safety regulations and environmental guidelines.

• Conduct safety inspections related to MEP systems and report hazards.

• Support the implementation of risk mitigation strategies for high-risk MEP activities.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering or a related field.

• Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in MEP inspection, preferably in airport construction or large-scale infrastructure projects.

• Certifications:

  • MEP-related certifications (e.g., LEED, PMP, NEBOSH, QC Certification preferred).

  • Knowledge of airport-specific MEP standards is a plus.

• Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, fire protection, plumbing, electrical, ELV, and BMS systems.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and inspection reporting tools.

• Soft Skills:

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to work in high-pressure environments with strict deadlines.
