The Lead Videographer is responsible for overseeing the creation, production, and execution of high-quality video content that supports Milwaukee Tool's brand and marketing initiatives. This role will lead video strategy, guide best practices, and ensure a consistent, high standard of storytelling across all video assets. The Lead Videographer will collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to bring innovative video content to life. This position reports to the Brand Marketing team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, production, and execution of high-quality video content, both in-studio and on location at construction sites, often under tight deadlines
- Develop compelling video storytelling strategies that align with brand and marketing objectives
- Capture and create engaging content, including:
- User testimonials
- Product application/performance videos
- Short-form videos and cinemographs for social media
- Oversee video quality control, ensuring all content meets brand standards and maintains consistency
- Provide creative direction to internal teams and external partners, ensuring high-quality execution
- Edit and repurpose existing video content for various distribution channels
- Manage studio space and video equipment-maintain an organized inventory of necessary gear and recommend new tools for enhanced production quality
- Classify, organize, and archive raw video footage within established metadata standards
- Stay up to date with industry trends, tools, and emerging video technologies to drive innovation in video content
Job Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in video production, including shooting, editing, and project management
- Strong portfolio showcasing high-quality video work and storytelling expertise
- Experience leading video projects and providing creative direction
- Post-High School education preferred
- Expert knowledge of video and graphics editing software (Adobe Suite), including:
- Adobe After Effects
- Adobe Premiere
- Photoshop & Illustrator (for basic graphic needs)
- Extensive knowledge of cameras, lighting, composition, and advanced video production techniques
- Strong visual design sense with an understanding of layout, composition, storyboarding, and editing
- Excellent time management, communication, and organizational skills
- Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage projects, collaborate across teams, and guide external production partners
- Travel can be up to 30%
