Summary The Sr. Compliance Specialist Advisor reports to the Marketing Oversight Sr. Manager. This position is responsible for reviewing and approving Supplemental Benefits marketing and communication materials submitted by internal marketing partners, ensuring compliance and adherence to regulatory and internal requirements. The ideal candidate is a compliance-minded individual who can work in complex, fast-paced environments. Responsibilities * Maintains and updates Marketing Compliance Checklist with common state objections and state regulatory updates * Reviews ads/non-ads for CSB, including direct mail, envelopes, digital ads, website and express enroll to ensure state requirements are met prior to filing * Reviews and interprets state regulatory updates with Marketing Counsel and documents implications for Marketing Compliance guidance * Maintains annual certifications * Other projects as assigned Qualifications * Bachelor's degree, paralegal certificate or equivalent work experience required. * 7+ years legal or compliance experience with proven ability to act independently and decisively. * 4+ years' experience in review of insurance, healthcare or other highly regulated industry marketing materials. * Strong analytic, organizational, problem solving, and written and verbal communication skills. * Knowledge of healthcare and specifically insurance products and marketing materials a plus. * Exceptional track record of project management, strong partnership and collaboration, influential leadership, and process management. * Exceptional conflict management skills to objectively influence/negotiate outcomes and settle disputes while minimizing noise and moving forward without bias when corporate consensus is established. * Effective adjustment to risk and uncertainty; can apply available information compliantly to guide decisions without the total picture. * Exceptional interpersonal skills - diplomacy and tact, and comfortable to diffuse high-tension situations. * Priority Setting - Identifies and dedicates time to the critical/important; eliminates roadblocks; creates focus * Informing - Provides, timely, relevant, fact-based, audience specific information contributing to a productive team culture. |
