About the Role:
The Senior Estimator role is accountable for managing and delivering project estimates. The role is responsible to manage estimating activities through all phases of the project lifecycle, including preparation of estimates, documentation, benchmarking, estimate monitoring & control, change management, cost and schedule risk analysis, escalation, assurance and estimate closeout & handover.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Skills
* Firm understanding of estimating processes over the project lifecycle and industry best practices
* Skilled in use and development of estimating tools and templates
* Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
* Firm understanding in cost confidence modelling techniques and tools
* Solid understanding of WBS and code of accounts utilization on estimates and interfaces to cost control
* Able to interpret Level 1 / 2 / 3 schedules
* Comprehensive knowledge of Estimate Phase lifecycles and key gate process
* Competent in understanding and application of benchmark and normalisation of data
* Firm understanding of direct and indirect costs on onshore and offshore projects
* Interpreting Project Schedules and how they are aligned to time driven costs in the estimate
* Good understanding of various contracting strategies and how to adopt them in an estimate. Competencies

* Ability to co-ordinate and undertake reviews on estimates with external contractors and the project team

* A recognized tertiary degree in Engineering, Construction, Business, or a related field or equivalent trade with site experience. Experience
* Over 10 years of estimating experience across Offshore and Onshore Projects in the Oil & Gas and New Energy industries
* Experienced in Front-End and Back-End Estimating
* Experienced in estimating across all ranges of projects
* Skilled in producing quality estimating documents
* Skilled in the use of benchmark data
* Experience in dealing with Contractors and JV partners
* Experience of working with multi-disciplinary teams
* Experience in Engineering and Construction Industry
* Good understanding on estimate alignment to project schedule and execution strategies
