Overview

Job Purpose

The Broadcast Service Associate will be involved in the day-to-day operations of a fully functional broadcast control room covering the highly visible NYSE Opening and Closing Bells NYSETV Live Show as well as live and taped media interviews from around the world. The individual will also be responsible for deadline oriented (quick turnaround) editing for short pieces posted on internal and external NYSE websites. The individual will be tasked with operating cameras at live events or operating cameras in an ENG style, operating equipment to include video switchers and audio consoles. They will also be responsible for placing microphones and IFB on interviewees.

Responsibilities

  • Operate studio and remote equipment including cameras, master control switchers and associated equipment, digital records and recorders, video servers, related broadcast automation software, audio mixers, and other equipment and systems
  • Collaborate with various internal NYSE departments
  • Interact with NYSE senior executives
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule occasionally, including early morning prior to 8am as well as evenings after 5pm

Knowledge and Experience

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent working experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in broadcast environment with proven knowledge of production equipment and production technique, computer-based production as well as knowledge of video and editing equipment
  • Experience working in a live control room environment
  • Understanding of Vinten robotic controllers
  • Understanding and operation of Ross Video Switchers
  • Understanding how to execute live broadcasts
  • Understanding of audio principles
  • Proficiency in audio recording
  • Experience with daily operation of content management system
  • Video editing of both long and short form videos using Adobe products
  • Understanding of ENG, Live handheld camera operation, and the setup and operation of EFP cameras, to include Sony and Canon
  • Ability to Multi-task
  • Team-oriented
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Good interpersonal communication skills
  • Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel
  • Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop experience a must
  • Audio consoles

New York Base Salary Range

The expected base salary for this role, if located in New York, is between $77,300 - $103,000 USD. The base salary range does not include Intercontinental Exchange's incentive compensation. While we provide this range as general guidance, at ICE we compensate employees based on the skillset and experience of the individual. Regular full-time ICE employees are eligible for a suite of competitive employee benefits, including healthcare coverage (medical, dental and vision), a 401(k) plan, life insurance, time off, and paid leave for qualifying circumstances.
