The Role:

The Vice President of Global Inventory and Demand Planning is an analytical thinker who drives business growth and profitability by ensuring the right products are in the right place at the right time. They are responsible for leading the translation of the corporate financial targets into Inventory Investment plans for all Wholesale partners and Retail entities. This strategic leader responsible for optimizing inventory levels and forecasting demand across a multinational organization. This role is critical in aligning supply chain operations with market needs, ensuring product availability, minimizing costs, and maximizing profitability.

Job Functions:



  • Responsible for generating +$1B of Gross Profit through investment of $500M annually. Shared P&L line responsibility for Product Cost % of Revenue (CoGS) and Working Capital Investment levels.
  • Develop the Global Merchandise planning strategy to inform product investment decisions to efficiently maximize EBITDA for the enterprise while aligning with the company's overall business objectives, considering factors such as target market, brand positioning, and global trends.
  • Develop and implements accurate demand forecasting models to predict customer needs on a global scale.
  • Oversee inventory levels across the entire supply chain to balance supply and demand, minimizing stockouts and excess inventory.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize supply chain processes, reducing costs and improving efficiency.
  • Lead the S&OP process, aligning sales, marketing, finance, and operations to achieve business objectives.
  • Leverage advanced planning and optimization tools to enhance demand forecasting and inventory management capabilities.
  • Ensure end-to-end visibility of the global supply chain, identifying potential risks and opportunities.



Job Specifications:




  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years of experience with clear progression to senior leadership/ management roles, leading a motivating cross-functional interdisciplinary teams to achieve strategic goals.
  • Demonstrate a broad understanding of corporate functions outside area of expertise.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across the organization with key internal and external business leaders, partners, suppliers, and customers.
  • Ability to apply a variety of strategic frameworks to analyze problems and to guide and develop solutions.
  • Ability to understand the impact of technology on processes and structure.
  • Strong change management skills
  • Global mindset and cultural sensitivity
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical and forecasting skills.
  • Deep understanding of Merchandise Planning and Inventory management principles
  • Expertise in demand forecasting and inventory management methodologies and technologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong financial management operating experience and knowledge of business acumen to include investment and budget management.
  • Strong negotiation and organizational skills
