A little about this position:
  • Unique Motocross experience, up close and personal with riders from around the country.
  • Spend your days in the outdoors watching and helping the motocross riders.
  • Safety is our number one concern, this means for you and the riders.
  • Flaggers are stationed around the track to act as an extra set of eyes for oncoming riders.
  • If a rider is stopped on the track between you and the next flagging station it's your responsibility as a flagger to wave the yellow flag to alert other riders to slow down and possibly the medics to assess the situation.
  • Staying alert and aware of your surrounding is key; our flagging stations are set up in safe locations on the side of the track.
  • Unless an unsafe situation arises, flaggers should remain at their stations anytime a rider is on the track.
  • These bikes range from 50cc to 450s. If at any time a flagger is uncomfortable it's important to contact the lead for that day so we can help the situation.
  • These can be long days in the elements, protect yourself by wearing sunscreen, staying hydrated and wearing the appropriate clothing.
  • Lunch, snacks and water are provided throughout the event.
  • The track is only accessible by bus. Pick up and drop off will happen in the Vons parking lot.

NOTE: This is a temporary position that will run from June 20th - 29th

Requirements:
  • Standing in the elements for 7-10 hrs.
  • Ability to wave a flag.
  • Always carrying a flag and wearing a safety vest while clocked in or on the track.

  • Remain alert throughout the shift.
