DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will support the Division of Environmental Health Epidemiology by contributing to data collection and research initiatives. Your responsibilities will involve preparing health assessments for contaminated locations and acquiring knowledge of toxicological concepts pertinent to human health risk assessment. Additionally, you may support the execution of literature reviews and the development of health education materials.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time internship, may run from May 2025 through November 2025 with possibility of extension
  • Work hours vary, 20 hours per week up to 37.5 hours per week
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Internship Requirements:

  • Current full-time enrollment in a bachelor's degree program or higher.
  • Good academic standing (2.0 GPA or higher)
  • Pennsylvania residency or enrollment at a Pennsylvania college or university
Additional Requirements:
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
