Genesis10 is currently seeking a Database Administrator with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX, and Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract position. Responsibilities: Participate in design, development, and implementation of complex databases, often using new technologies Viewed as the subject matter expert for the team Manage multiple moderately complex projects and direct activities of a team related to special initiatives or operations Troubleshoot and process responsibilities Routine accountability for technical knowledge and capabilities as a team member or as an individual contributor Work under minimal supervision, with general guidance from more seasoned consultants or managers Work on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors Exercise judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results Work leadership may be provided by assigning work and resolving problems Always On performance and tuning including for large high tier environments Requirements: 10+ years with SQL Server Administration Desired skills: Computer Science degree preferred or substantially equivalent experience Prior MS SQL DBA experience, preferably on the App DBA side Strong sense of problem and client ownership Ability to deliver within a project structure Has utilized Guardium and Splunk for monitoring Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
