DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Corrections Community Center Monitor, you will ensure the safety and security of the CCC, document reentrant counts, search reentrant property, and control reentrant and visitor movement. You will observe reentrant behavior through one-on-one and group interactions, as well as through closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems. In addition, you will conduct new reentrant orientation, monitor reentrant community destination checks, and log telephone usage. Upon reentrant return to the CCC, you will administer and document breathalyzer tests and urinalysis tests. This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and establish positive working relationships with reentrants that support their successful release back into the community. - Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
- Community Corrections Centers are staffed by three (3) work shifts that cover the facility 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Your work schedule will be determined.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to work in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
- You must have the ability to work different shifts or irregular scheduled hours.
- You must successfully complete classroom training at the DOC Training Academy in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Two (2) years of experience performing public safety or security work. (Examples of qualifying experience include but are not limited to public safety or security work involving protection of persons and/or property and maintaining required security through enforcement of rules, regulations, and laws; public safety or security work in a correctional setting, juvenile, or adult development/detention center, law enforcement entity, or military security experience)
- One (1) year of work experience providing direction/guidance to individuals. (Examples of qualifying work experience include but are not limited to performing as a lead worker or supervisor assigning and evaluating work tasks, providing informal counseling, or giving orders in the Military)

- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
