At Industrial Flow North America, we master industrial flow solutions for demanding applications withleading technology in positive displacement and centrifugal pumps, valves, and systems. As a Technician, you are responsible for the repair and testing of pumps both in the shop and in the field. You will report to the Repair and Production Manager and be located in the Houston Greens Road office. Summary:The Technician Irepairs pumps andrelatedequipment by assembling,testing, andrepairing components and parts. Job Responsibilities: Repairs,replaces, andrebuilds pumps by disassembling andinspecting partsforwear,warping,or other defectswiththe use ofinspectiontools,gauges, andtestingequipment. Repairs componentsincluding pump parts, auxiliaries, piping, plumbing, and hydraulic componentsby using handtools, powertools, andmachines andreassembles,reinstalls, orinstalls parts. Prepares and paints new andrebuiltequipmentper company procedures. Verifiesquality and pump performance by conducting shopruntests,recordingtest data, andmaintainingaccurate performance andtestrecords onrepaired pumps. Maintains parts and supplies inventories by checking stock to determineinventorylevel andrecordingthe useof any and all parts usedintherepairof a pump. Maintainstechnicalknowledge by attending educationalworkshops and on-the-jobtraining sessions. Maintains safe and cleanworking environment by complyingwith procedures,rules,goodmanufacturingpractices,customerrequirements,andlocalandfederalregulations. Occasional local travel to customer sites for repairs This position requires a minimum of six months working in production as part of training before beginning technician work. To be successful in this role, you should have the following: Qualifications: High school diploma orgeneral education degree(GED) Minimum of twoyearsrelated experience and/ortraining Ability to travel to Germany for job related training for a minimum of six weeks Valid Driver'slicense Current U.S. passport Demonstrated Skills: Abilityto calibrate andperform preventativemaintenance onequipment Abilitytoworkthrough problemsfrom both atechnical and customerrequirement perspective Mechanical skills necessaryto evaluate andrepairpumpsandothermechanical equipment Abilitytowriteroutinereports andcorrespondence.
