We are seeking an engineering manager to lead a team of engineers responsible for managing the 3P Demand Service, which facilitates the real-time retrieval of bid candidates from multiple demand sources. This service utilizes OpenRTB as the standard protocol for communication with DSPs (Demand Side Platforms). The team plays a crucial role in standardizing the handling of third-party ads for Pinterest, necessitating strong collaboration and partnership with both internal teams and external DSPs. Key responsibilities include overseeing the customization and integration of new DSPs, as well as integrating new demand pools within existing DSP frameworks. The engineering manager is expected to provide technical and strategic direction, resolve ambiguities in both technical and product areas, and ensure clear decision-making. Additionally, the manager will be responsible for fostering the growth of team members, establishing a long-term roadmap, and delivering results that contribute directly to Pinterest's success. A key focus is on balancing technical debt and operational efficiency to drive innovation and maintain high-performance standards. What you'll do:
