Turkey Live Hanger- Lead

Job Summary:

The lead is responsible for assisting the Supervisor with duties in the Live Hang Department.

Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure that job tasks, assignments, and rotations are followed.
• Assist in ensuring that the assigned area is maintained in an organized and clean manner.
• Assist with new hire ergonomic evaluations and performance evaluations.
• Provide accurate and timely feedback to supervisor regarding any issues or problems that may arise during daily production.
• Assist with hazard assessments: Ergonomic Worksite Analysis, Job Safety Analysis, and PPE Hazard Assessments.
• Assist with incident investigations and safety inspections.
• Actively participate in the ergonomic/safety committee activities.
• Daily set up and break down of equipment to ensure correct supplies are being used.
• Pre-test equipment and inform Supervisor or Maintenance of any problems.
• Follows direction of Production Supervisor to assign and instruct personnel of daily production needs.
• Maintain production standards and Safety requirements.
• Complete all daily forms required by manager.
• Train and develop staff to ensure a quality product.
• Promote team work within department.
• All other duties assigned by department Supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Other Characteristics(KSAOs) Required to Be Successful in This Job:

• Thorough knowledge of Live Hang processes and job duties to be able to instruct and direct associates in performance of their jobs
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early starts and late finishes, weekends, and holidays if needed
• Good verbal and written communication skills that facilitate group and team communication
• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide whole and decimal numbers)

Minimum Qualifications:

• No formal educational requirement; high school diploma or equivalent preferred
• At least six (6) moths of service with the company during most recent employmentorrelevant work experience if employed less than 6 months
• No more than three (5) occurrences under the current attendance policy
• No written or final written warnings in the last twelve (12) months.
