EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

Required
  • Education

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience

  • 3 years managing a medium size hospital or clinic related project and

    5 years working within a project team.

    Advanced degree may be used in lieu of years of experience on a year for year basis.

JOB DUTIES
  • Provide the leadership framework for planning, directing, coordinating and improving projects that are responsive to the needs of University of Texas Southwestern Hospitals.
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel; identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools; track project milestones and deliverables.
  • Build, develop and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project,
  • Assumes project hand-offs from Health System Planning team for all approved and funded clinical projects involving major medical equipment purchases, new construction, and/or renovation of existing clinical facilities.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives, budget preparation and business plans within Support Services division.
  • Undertake special projects at the request of the AVP of Support Services.
  • Coordinates and manages expectations of multi-disciplinary project stakeholders (Physicians, Clinical staff, Physical Plant, Budgeting, senior management, Interior Design Committee, Health System Planning, etc.
  • Manages the clinical projects for both the Ambulatory Practice and University Hospitals to ensure that the project budget and target schedule are met.
  • Assist in cost consolidation, product standardization and supply chain initiatives.
  • Ensure all regulatory and compliance standards are met.
  • Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
