Job Description Directs the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives. Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply. Reports daily on key performance indicators, execution gaps, and recovery plans when needed. Assists in coordinating cross functional problem solving to improve performance of the production line. Develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. You will report to the Operations Manager. You will work onsite from our Ladysmith, WI location.
Your Responsibilities:
- This position is responsible for directing the development and implementation of production goals in safety, quality, customer delivery, and productivity for the assigned areas. This includes an understanding of production metrics, engaging the team to achieve them, and identifying gaps to improve the performance of the work cell. Delegates tasks, provides updates on orders and coordinates work with various departments. Overtime is an essential function of this position and actual overtime hours may vary.
- This work consists of planning and administering operating policies, procedures, and practices that foster employee engagement in a continuous improvement driven work environment. This work may encompass but not limited to the following:
- Select and hire employees and provide on-going performance monitoring. Evaluate employee performance on a continual basis and provide continuous performance feedback.
- Implement employee training and development programs and schedules, training and motivating team members in the importance of full compliance with the letter and spirit of policies and procedures.
- Administer and maintain employee time at work records and systems. Accountable for completion of administrative responsibilities, i.e. record keeping, various reports, and employee reviews.
- Responding to unexpected, challenging, or adverse circumstances resourcefully, constructively, and positively.
- Maintain and enforce safe work practices while executing company policies and procedures with respect to disciplinary policies.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement effort and waste reduction concepts.
- Perform resource planning requirements and scheduling of work hours and time off requests.
- Communicate daily production requirements. Communicate individual work cell order demand rates and collaborate to resolve production issues.
- Accountable for safety, quality, customer delivery, and productivity improvement objectives for assigned areas, and ensuring adoption of best practices to achieve maximum efficiency.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
- 1+ years of leadership experience
- 5+ years of manufacturing experience
- Knowledge of Rockwell products
- Ability to accept change and adapt to a variety of assignments in a fast-paced environment.
