How You'll Perform the Role
Position Summary: Manage the operations, planning and scheduling responsibilities at the Florence plant to maximize production efficiency and maintain maximum customer satisfaction by completing orders on time. Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and schedule production for multiple departments at the Florence Plant
- Comply with all communication and reporting requirements of the job.
- Schedule and plan so that changeovers are minimized while meeting expected customer agreements and delivery schedules.
- Communicate with Sales and Customer Service in a timely manner should any delivery issues arise, i.e., back orders, late shipments, and breakdowns to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Monitor daily production and update reports.
- Coordinate special runs for sales samples.
- Write up orders and pull specification sheets for each.
- Monitor raw materials, (paper, cartons, etc.) to fill customer/production needs.
- Make any changes in schedule and inform all necessary departments.
- Fill each machine bin with orders that are scheduled to run for all shifts.
- Pull plates, labels, spec sheets, and palletization sheets together for work orders.
- Make up priority sheet for each shift that shows order in which each machine is needed to run.
- Maintain scheduling files as required.
- Continuously perform all required tasks in a safe manner, adhering to all established safety rules and procedures. Must take immediate action to correct and/or report any unsafe conditions and hazards.
- Keep work area clean and organized.
- Follow all applicable food service policies and procedures.
- Follow all PPE policies, wearing steel toed shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses, hair nets/beard nets, etc. as required.
- Follow all applicable procedures.
- Meet/exceed scheduling goals as set forth by management.
- Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.
What We Need From You
Candidate Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED; some college is preferred.
- Three to five years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Must have excellent organizational and record keeping skills
- Must be able to distinguish full color spectrum.
- Must have basic Microsoft Office skills - MRP/Dynamics AX preferred
- Must have basic Math skills
- Must have good communication skills
