Utz Quality Foods is seeking a Sr Director, IT Business Services to join our IT team. Reporting to the CIO, this position acts as the primary liaison between the functional business management teams and IT. This position determines enterprise system needs and assembles associated requirements that serve as the basis for systems development, configurations, implementations and enhancements. Works closely with these respective functional teams to define and understand relevant business processes and their inter-relationships with our enterprise IT systems in order to help shape and define areas that can drive a competitive advantage. This role provides oversight and guidance for enterprise software applications including planning, directing, evaluating and implementing software applications that are meant for operational and analytical use.

Ideal candidates will have a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 7 years of experience. Candidates must have experience managing large teams as well as experience in managing multi-million capital and expense budgets. Candidates should have experience in D365 or other major ERP systems and a high-level understanding of application development processes. Strong project management skills with the ability to set targets, design improvement plans, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment are also required.

Sr Director, IT Business Services:



  • Serves as the primary liaison between the Finance & HR, Manufacturing & Logistics, and Sales & Marketing functional management teams and the IT department. Manages the portfolio of projects within these respective areas in regard to prioritization, requirements gathering, return on investment analysis, user acceptance testing, user training, and issue management.
  • Leads cross-functional / departmental projects through leadership and organizational skills. Schedules cross functional meetings within IT and across business users as needed.
  • Provides strategic vision and direction for operational and analytical software applications.
  • Translates business objectives for planning, documenting, selecting and directing the design of new applications, ensuring that the products and services integrate into the existing applications and technology.
  • Recommends and develop plans for systems development and enhancements and evaluates software purchase vs. build decisions.
  • Proactively monitors and plans resource activity to ensure maximum productivity and appropriate resource alignment.
  • Oversees the execution of projects and manage the analyst and development team by helping to solve complex business issues and providing guidance to team members.
  • Provides on-going user support for functionality and usage of Utz's enterprise systems,
  • Monitors and evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery methods and procedures; recommends appropriate service and staffing levels.
  • Exercises administrative control over all phases of department operations and resource planning, development and recruitment, either through direct involvement or through subordinates.
  • Attends and participates in professional group meetings; facilitates meetings, seminars, and training sessions to stay apprised of new developments in field and keeps abreast of technological changes and innovations.
  • Creates Capital Requests, Enhancement documents when needed, as well as reviews and approves Business Requirements.

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University required; advanced degree and/or system certification preferred; and a minimum of 15 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years management experience required; must have experience in managing 15+ resources.
