At Target RWE, our mission is driven by a deep commitment to people-whether it's the patients we serve, the partners we collaborate with, or the dedicated team members who power our work. As a purpose-driven organization, we leverage real-world data to advance clinical research and inform better healthcare decisions. We foster a collaborative environment where every voice is heard, every idea has impact, and every contribution helps improve lives. If you're seeking a place where your work truly matters, join us to advance science.

Are you a trailblazer with a passion for building transformative partnerships? Do you thrive at the intersection of clinical science, strategy, and client engagement? Target RWE is searching for a dynamic and visionary Principal, Research Partnerships to lead our efforts in forging impactful collaborations that redefine how real-world evidence (RWE) advances liver disease research and treatment.

If you're ready to lead in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment where your work directly impacts patient outcomes, this is your opportunity to shape the future of healthcare.

As the Principal, Research Partnerships, you'll be the driving force behind Target RWE's growth in this critical therapeutic area. You'll develop and execute strategies to build deep, meaningful relationships with pharma, biotech, and other key stakeholders. This goes well beyond business development, it's about creating partnerships that accelerate scientific breakthroughs and ultimately improve patient lives.

What You'll Do

  • Own Disease Area Commercial Strategy: Lead the development of our research partnerships strategy for a key disease area, identifying opportunities to expand our client footprint and maximize impact.
  • Build High-Impact Partnerships: Cultivate relationships with pharma, biotech, clinical and scientific opinion leaders, professional societies, and other stakeholders to establish Target RWE as the go-to partner for clinical evidence generation.
  • Drive Revenue Growth: Develop innovative partnership models that deliver value for both Target RWE and our industry collaborators while driving sustainable revenue growth for the company.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with internal teams-including quantitative sciences, clinical operations, medical affairs, finance, and marketing-to ensure seamless execution of research partnership initiatives.
  • Be a Thought Leader: Represent Target RWE at industry conferences, webinars, and client meetings as a credible expert in clinical evidence generation.
  • Stay Ahead of Trends: Monitor developments in key disease areas (e.g., MASH therapeutics, or new mechanisms of action in atopic dermatitis) and the broader healthcare ecosystem to identify emerging opportunities in clinical evidence generation.
  • Deliver Results: Define clear KPIs for partnership success-and exceed them.

What You Bring

We're looking for someone who's equal parts strategist, relationship builder, and industry expert. Here's what we'd love to see:

  • 12+ years of experience in commercial roles within life sciences or healthcare with a focus on client engagement, problem solving, structuring research solutions, and learning quickly
  • At least 3+ years in a strategy and/or analytics-focused consulting role with experience executing and managing engagements across the medical product lifecycle (e.g. investment decisions, market access strategy, brand strategy, etc.)
  • Proven ability to develop deep knowledge of disease areas and their therapeutic landscape (bonus points if that's already in liver diseases, gastroenterology, or dermatology)
  • Track record of building high-value research partnerships with pharmaceutical or biotech companies in both retrospective and prospective clinical evidence generation
  • Deep understanding of the range of potential use cases that can be addressed using retrospective and prospective clinical evidence generation
  • Exceptional communication skills-you can navigate complex conversations and articulate complex scientific concepts with ease
  • A strong network within the life sciences and clinical research communities
  • Strategic mindset with an ability to translate big-picture goals into actionable plans
  • Entrepreneurial spirit-you're proactive, resourceful, and thrive in startup environments (bonus points for healthcare startup experience)
  • A passion for improving patient outcomes through innovation

If you are ready to be part of a team where your work truly matters - where your expertise is valued, your growth is supported, and your contributions help shape the future of healthcare, Target RWE is the place for you. We're building something meaningful together, and we'd love for you to be a part of it.
