BASIC PURPOSE/SCOPE:
The Customer Executive will represent and be responsible for sales and profits of Bimbo Bakehouse, Grocery Channel Sales across In Store Bakery, Dairy Case, and Organic Businesses. In this unique role, you will spend your time developing accounts across the Midwest region, in addition to quarterly meetings with retailers/distributors in Canada- cultivating relationships and driving distribution across core retailer accounts.
This role will also be responsible for developing solid relationships with all decision makers, trade spend management and aggressively selling for distribution growth at HQ & Regional levels with support from our brokers. Developing strategic plans for your assigned territory / accounts and engaging broker networks to maximize selling opportunities is an essential part of this role.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:
  • Will be responsible for the overall sales of select Bimbo Bakehouse products in assigned channels and major account(s).
  • Will cultivate and maintain long term productive relationships with regional specific Grocery Chains, Independents and supporting broker organizations.
  • Develop and present quarterly and annual business plans to achieve maximum potential.
  • Develop and implement all In Store Bakery, Dairy Case, and Organic strategies for the customer.
  • Provide leadership and direction of all assigned account activities.
  • Provide strategic direction and plans for the assigned accounts.
  • Provide strategic direction that influence Bimbo Bakehouse's short and long-term decision-making processes.
  • Work with general management to maximize sales and coverage of the accounts.
  • Help maximize sales by acquiring new retail business by solicitations etc.
  • Work with all functions of the Bimbo Bakehouse supply chain including bakeries, shipping, distribution, and customer service.
  • Deduction management assuring prompt reconciliation of all transactions including write off's, charge backs, payments, etc.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
RESPONSIBILITY AND TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
  • 70% of time focused on Midwest Business
  • 30% of time focused on Canada Business with Quarterly Travel to Canada for Business Needs (Retailer Category Reviews, Broker Business Updates, Trainings, etc.)
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • BA/BS in Business preferred but not required, Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • A combination of education, training and experience that results in demonstrated competency to perform the work.
  • Minimum of 5 years sales experience in Sales Management, Retail Sales, Customer Management, Category Management or equivalent sales experience
  • Must have excellent written, verbal, presentation and negotiating skills.
  • Strong project management skills are required.
  • Must have strong analytical skills including financial reporting.
  • P&L, business analysis & merchandising experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word, Teams, SharePoint and Outlook.
  • Must be willing to travel.
SPECIALIZED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
This position requires the incumbent to have strong working knowledge of sales processes and procedures, presentation development incorporating relevant usage of available data and proficient in negotiating techniques.
Ability to create and implement change while working in a fast paced and ever-changing environment.
