The Learning & Skill Development (LSD) team plays a critical role in fostering a digital culture within the Commercial and Medical Group (CMG). LSD provides employees, managers, healthcare providers, and patients with the necessary skills and information when and where needed. It's transforming CMG into a continuous learning culture, focusing on skills management, digital learning, and workflow integration.

LSD's team includes learning business partners, learning design architects, instructional designers, and multimedia specialists, who create and scale best-in-class learning products. These products are supported by facilitators, learning technologists, and analytics that align skill development with business outcomes.

The Opportunity

The Skills Enablement Lead is responsible for designing and implementing a skills framework and forecast across CMG functions to ensure employees have the right skills for current and future business needs. This includes creating the skills framework, proficiency assessments, and forecasting approach. The role collaborates with Learning Business Partners and People & Culture to align skills with job standards and upskilling plans.

The role also uses data and industry trends to build skills forecasts and integrates them into P&C and learning platforms for personalized, tech-enhanced employee learning. The skills framework evolves with the business, providing a common language for learning based on skills rather than tasks. The lead will consult with LSD, business stakeholders, and other groups to recommend skill-based learning solutions and leverage analytics to measure impact and inform future decisions.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Own and continuously improve the CMG skills taxonomy, proficiency assessments, and forecasting framework.

  • Update skills taxonomy to align with CMG's Strategic Workforce Plans (SWP), including hiring, upskilling, and succession.

  • Use data, analytics, and technology to assess skill proficiency, track development progress, and enable skills insights reporting.

  • Collaborate with learning business partners and data scientists to measure the impact of re/upskilling on performance and business outcomes.

  • Work with People & Culture to analyze employee development data and address skill gaps in SWP Talent Plans.

  • Leverage AI and machine learning tools to forecast emerging trends and build a skills roadmap by function/role

  • Partner with Learning Business Partners to develop an annual role-based certification forecast and plan for commercial field roles

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to map skills to roles, integrate into job standards, and support learning plans.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.

  • 10+ years of experience in Learning & Development, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Proven expertise in developing and implementing skills-based learning solutions at an enterprise level.

  • Familiarity with skills taxonomy development, competency modeling, and skills assessment methodologies.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and drive data-informed decisions.

  • Demonstrated learning agility, with strategic thinking and creative problem-solving capabilities.

  • Ability to collaborate, influence, and build effective cross-functional partnerships across all organizational levels.

  • Excellent program and project management experience, with strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Relocation benefits are not available for this job posting.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of SSF, CA is $155,600 - $289,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
