As a Plant Operator Trainee at Worley, you will embark on a comprehensive training program designed to equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge for effective operation and maintenance of treatment processes. Through directed and on-the-job training, you will learn to analyze trends and data, monitor equipment and processes using various instruments including gauges, meters, and SCADA inputs, and optimize day-to-day operations for economic efficiency. Additionally, you will be responsible for conducting routine maintenance tasks and ensuring thorough documentation of all plant processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Receive directed and on-the-job training to learn treatment processes, operational procedures, and maintenance duties.
* Analyze trends and data to optimize day-to-day processes and ensure economic utilization of materials and equipment.
* Monitor equipment and processes through gauges, meters, and SCADA inputs.
* Document and review ongoing plant process operations and maintenance issues.
* Collect and analyze process samples using laboratory procedures.
* Perform maintenance duties such as painting, cleaning, and grounds maintenance as directed by supervisor.
* Work a varying schedule including days, nights, and weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS
Physical Requirements:



  • Must be capable of climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, grasping, feeling, and performing repetitive motions.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Capable of working at heights and in/on/around water.
  • Meet the physical standards and requirements for wearing an Air Purifying Respirator (APR).


Knowledge and Skills:



  • Ability to read and comprehend operation and maintenance manuals.
  • Possess critical thinking skills.
  • Experience driving on rugged terrain and in all weather conditions.
  • Willingness and ability to work within a highly structured safety program.


Additional Requirements:



  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Possess and maintain a valid Arizona driver's license.


Note:
The Trainee will remain in the position until an Operator I position becomes available. Employees at Operator I level receive occasional supervision, instruction, and assistance and must be capable of independent, well-informed, technically correct decisions.
