Position Summary Data is a strategic asset of the organization charging all aspects of business decision making. This position will be a key role within the Data Product and AI Engineering team to provide solutions interacting with the data, powering real-time insights and services, and building generative AI solutions! We will build software applications & solutions together on Enterprise Data & Analytics internal products and platforms to enable our internal business users to accelerate insights with Adobe data. You bring a robust and outstanding background; combining software development and systems engineering to build and run scalable, distributed, fault-tolerant systems. The ideal candidate is able to design, test and implement applications, and is also proficient in systems programming and/or automation. This person demonstrates their experience solving problems in running production environments. This role demands exceptional communication, documentation and presentation skills along with the penchant to continuously learn about the latest application design and programming practices. Responsibilities Design, build, maintain, deploy, and run applications that drive the success of Adobe's data analytics, real-time, and AI solutions. Contribute to unified data integration architecture; including evaluation of technologies/solutions and implementation to target state. Adapt and innovate architecture and technology solutions targeting areas of high business impact. Use and develop automation to scale systems and innovate solutions for improved reliability and velocity, including CI/CD deployment, monitoring, testing, and observability processes. Develop solutions to continuously monitor and improve data and analytics platform health, performance, and reliability. Operational Excellence; involves: optimizing operations, managing configurations, and improving performance. Participate in on-call rotations, identify and tackle complex issues, and lead incident postmortem analyses. Develop intuitive user interfaces that provide quick insights to EDA business analytics users, making data more accessible and actionable. Required Skills Expertise with the Databricks ecosystem: Spark, Python, and Airflow Proficiency with Kafka and related streaming technologies: REST Proxy, Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams, Spark Streaming Strong programming background in one or more major languages: Python, Java, JavaScript, etc. Demonstrated experience creating APIs and microservices In-depth understanding of software testing and data quality practices Extensive knowledge of database and data warehouse platforms: Databricks, MySQL, SQLServer, Oracle, RedShift Sophisticated skills with Unix and containerization technologies: Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, etc. Experience configuring and using observability solutions: Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work independently and achieve results BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field 10+ years of experience developing high-quality software Preferred Skills Experience building AI applications Knowledge of web UI development and client-side skills HTML / CSS / Javascript / jQuery Experience with modern cloud platform providers, including but not limited to AWS and Azure Experience with build automation and configuration management systems (e.g., Saltstack, Jenkins, Argo CD) Exposure to NO SQL technologies; Redis, Cassandra, Mongo DB, Dynamo DB Application Window Notice If this role is open to hiring in Colorado (as listed on the job posting), the application window will remain open until at least 12:01 AM Pacific Time, in compliance with Colorado pay transparency regulations. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $153,600 -- $286,600 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans.
