Position Overview:
This is a 2nd shift position, hours are noon - 8:30, Mon.-Fri.
As the Warehouse/Logistics Lead, you will lead the Outbound warehouse clerks as they pick/pack to goods for shipment, process collates for shipping, and deliver supplies, materials, and products from the warehouse in accordance with customer demands and requirements. This position will require, under general supervision, the ability to lead the daily outbound operations of the warehouse, which includes leading the team members, including yourself, to achieve company goals and objectives with emphasis.
What you'll do as the Warehouse/Logistics Lead:

  • Lead by example. The Lead will be responsible for continuing the duties of a warehouse clerk, following the best practices provided by management to ensure compliance and standardization across the teams.
  • Lead with a sense of urgency to ensure priority sales orders are being addressed in a timely manner.
  • Assist personnel to ensure any issues or concerns related to sales orders are addressed quickly.
  • Manage the printing, sorting, recording and dispersal of printed collates showing awareness for order routing, customer specific shipping/packaging requirements, shipping methods, and freight billing options
  • Maintain space, equipment, and supplies
  • Document inefficiencies and inconsistencies and report to management to ensure continuous improvement; make recommendations to enhance operations.
  • Document and report any behavior that is not consistent with company values and policies.
  • Conduct periodic or special inventory audits and assist in the reconciliation of physical counts
  • As appropriate to the position, participate in the development of new methods to reduce inefficiencies and duplication of efforts
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as required by daily work volume
  • Ability to take initiative and responsibility for area of work
  • Ability to work safely and in compliance with all documented policies and procedures, and to report immediately any potential unsafe condition to management
  • Train and lead warehouse clerks.
  • Carry out lead responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
What you bring:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years required experience as a supervisor or Lead in warehousing and/or inventory control, or equivalent responsibilities
  • Experience Supervising multiple departments
  • Microsoft Office
Qualified candidates can expect an hourly wage of $18.00-$22.00.
