Get to Know Your Team:

  • UT Health Tyler, the flagship hospital of the system, has 502 licensed beds specializing in advanced acute care medicine. Our hospital includes a 24-hour ER with Level 1 trauma center, a comprehensive stroke center, more than 500 physicians and a full complement of subspecialty groups.

Responsibilities

  • Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in a manner that ensures an accurate and complete examination/treatment by complying with established policies and procedures.
  • Organizes and documents all aspects of assigned patient care in coordination with physicians, nursing personnel, and other departments to ensure the accurate and timely performance of nuclear medicine procedures.
  • Participates in performance improvement activities by following established standards.
  • Assumes responsibility for professional growth and development by participating in educational activities to promote continuous improvement and compliance with patient care standards. Responsible for maintaining required continuing education.
  • Performs required daily tasks to keep the hospital compliant with Texas Department of State Health Services Radioactive Materials License requirements.
  • Will be familiar with work flow and equipment at all of the sites covered.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Be a graduate of an approved Nuclear Medicine Technologist program.
  • NMTCB or ARRT (N )
  • Licensed by the State of Texas
  • HAZMAT Certification
  • Current BLS certification or ability to obtain certification upon hire within 30 days
