Electric Operations is responsible for every aspect of PG&E's electric distribution and transmission operations, including planning, engineering, maintenance and construction, asset management, business planning, restoration and emergency response. A critical part of Operations is Vegetation Management. The Vegetation Management group implements inspection and tree work along electric transmission and distribution lines. Position Summary The Vegetation Management Intern will oversee Vegetation Management operations to ensure electric system safety, reliability and regulatory compliance with state and federal rules. The successful candidate will collaborate team members, contractors, and customers to monitor and manage vegetation near PG&E assets to contribute to system reliability and safety objectives. Vegetation Management operations is looking for a talented summer intern to help support distribution inspection and tree work. PG&E is providing the hourly rate range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual hourly rate paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. The hourly rate for this position ranges from $20.33 to $26.02. Responsibilities
The successful intern will have the opportunity to lead and/or support activities as described above working with a team of experienced Vegetation Management personnel.
