Location: Rosedale Office BuildingDepartment: IS AdministrationShift: First Shift (United States of America)Standard Weekly Hours: 40Summary: The Associate Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) provides physician leadership to support the ongoing development and implementation of an enterprise-wide, integrated electronic health record (EHR) that supports the delivery of quality patient care across all the communities that Cook Children's Health Care System (CCHCS) serves. The Associate CMIO assists the CMIO as the liaison between clinicians and information systems (IS) and will take a supporting role in developing requirements for and implementing clinical technologies. The Associate CMIO leads and/or facilitates multi-disciplinary committees to ensure that a diverse group of clinicians has appropriate levels of participation in clinical IT implementations and in the governance of technology decisions. The Associate CMIO participates on appropriate medical staff committees to ensure that physicians and medical staff committees have an appropriate level of input on the requirements for and knowledge of clinical IT implementations. The Associate CMIO will work in partnership and collaboration with System entities such as Quality & Safety, Research, Medical Staff leadership, Medical Center leadership, Physician Network leadership and other system leaders. The Associate CMIO will serve as an integral member of the IT Steering committee. Qualifications 1. Licensed physician with medical experience. MD or DO. 2. Experience with health care information systems. 3. Project management experience and/or an understanding of project management principles is highly desirable. 4. Experience in strategic technology planning, execution, and policy development. 5.
