The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Position Summary The Program Coordinator at the Engaging, Managing, and Bonding through Race Lab (EMBRace Lab) in the Columbia School of Social Work will manage the operations and delivery of essential program elements. Under the leadership of Dr. Riana Anderson, The EMBrace Lab focuses on research on reducing mental health inequities, understanding interpersonal and racial trauma among Black adolescents, and culturally adapting evidence-based treatments. This is a two-year grant-funded position, with the possibility to extend based on performance and additional grant funding. Responsibilities EMBRace Programming:
- Schedule and prepare for meetings with community partners, research sta, and program participants.
- Organize, maintain, and ensure the condentiality of participants' information.
- Work closely with Human Subjects Incentive Program partners to process participant incentives.
Participant Recruitment:
- Create and host EMBRace Program informational sessions to recruit participants
- Screen potential EMBRace participants based on eligibility criteria and assess participant "t" for the program.
- Work with community partners to establish participant recruitment plans.
Coordinating the EMBRace Team:
- Hire and train research assistants to assist with program implementation
- Hire and train Master's and Doctoral-level psychology, education, public health, and/or social work students to serve as program clinicians
- Coordinate research assistants and clinical sta to schedule program sessions and facilitate weekly supervision meetings
- Work with the Clinical Supervisor to oversee clinician involvement with the program
Outreach:
- Identify community organizations to establish partnerships.
- Facilitate and maintain community partnerships. Work with community partners to organize outreach events, including panel events, town halls, etc.
Racial Stress and Trauma Research:
- Work with the Lab Manager to prepare and complete new submissions. Coordinate the submissions to the Institutional Review Board (IRB).
- Make amendments to protocol templates.
- Submit continuing review forms.
- Manage grant-funded data collection.
- Review and clean quantitative data on Excel and SPSS.
- Review, clean, and code qualitative data.
- Assist with compiling references and conducting literature reviews in preparation for manuscript submissions and conference presentations.

- Excellent communication and organization skills and careful attention to detail.
- Advanced technical skills, e.g., Canva, Excel, dSPSS, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word.
- Ability to take on leadership for assigned work-related tasks independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in quantitative, qualitative mixed, and/or advanced research methods.
- Ability to manage time and complete tasks promptly and efficiently.
- Ability to work successfully under strict deadlines and accommodate change.
- Understand and follow policies and procedures, including discerning condential materials.
Preferred Qualifications
- Interest in and commitment to understanding interpersonal and racial trauma, racial socialization, cultural competency in treatment, and mental health in African-American populations.
- Experience with Zotero.
- Grant writing experience.
