Job Summary Laboratory Technician to work with professor and flume lab staff in instrument cart upgrade, including hardware and software. Essential Job Duties Assess current instrument cart for hardware that can be reused and to understand functions of hardware and software. Help design instrument cart upgrade, including designing requirements and research for motors, controllers, and actuators. Write software to control instrument cart motion and data collection. Prototyping and assembly. Basic Qualifications Experience in designing or building similar systems, including electrical and mechanical components. Experience writing software to communicate between motors and instruments and end-user interface in Matlab or Python. Preferred Qualifications B.S or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Required Documents Resume Hiring Range $28.75 to $39.75 per hour The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
