About the Role As a Business Development Representative, you will play a key role in supporting our Security team, focusing on Trend Micro and Barracuda. You will build strong relationships with partners and customers, drive vendor initiatives, support partner enablement activities, and manage vendor pipelines. As a subject matter expert (SME), you will provide valuable insights and guidance to the sales organization, helping drive growth and expansion within our partner network. The ideal candidate is self-motivated with a proactive approach to lead generation and partner acquisition. This position is open to hybrid (preferred) or remote (internal) candidates. What You'll Do:
Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with customers, ensuring satisfaction and addressing their needs proactively. Proactively identify, research, and reach out to potential new partners via outbound calls, emails, and other communication channels (Typically 50 communications per day). Serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries, providing exceptional support and consultation. Conduct cold and warm calls to engage prospective partners, qualify leads, and generate new business opportunities. Drive recruitment efforts to onboard new partners, effectively communicating the value of TD SYNNEX's security solutions. Develop targeted outreach strategies to expand the partner network and increase engagement with potential partners. Follow up on inquiries and leads, converting interest into active partnerships. Utilize CRM tools to track outreach efforts, manage partner pipelines and ensure consistent follow-up. Stay informed about vendor products, programs, and industry trends to support customers and sales teams effectively. Provide insightful analysis of data and metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and growth. Leverage problem-solving skills and technical expertise to configure, price, and quote products, software, and services. Offer guidance on product alternatives and cross-references to best support customers' needs. Engage in industry-specific training programs from vendors to enhance knowledge and expertise. What We're Looking For:
College degree preferred, or equivalent work or military experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills are obtained. At least 1 year of relevant work experience; Prior experience in outbound calling, sales, or business development preferred. Strong understanding of sales processes, procedures, and terminology. Strong ability to engage, persuade, and build rapport with new contacts over the phone, in writing and presentations. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and foster inclusive relationships. Resilience and tenacity to handle objections and drive conversations toward successful outcomes. Self-motivated with a proactive approach to lead generation and partner acquisition. Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills. Highly organized with effective time management skills and a commitment to task completion. Adaptability and resilience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards. Tech-savvy with proficiency in common business software and a willingness to learn new systems. Comfortable working in a professional office or remote environment, with occasional travel as needed. Flexibility to work non-standard hours or overtime when required.
Position Level: This role could be classified as Level I or II depending on business needs and the candidate's skill level.
