POSITION SUMMARY:

The Branch Operations Supervisor oversees all operations of the branch, including new accounts, teller operations and the safe deposit area. Responsible for the acquisition and retention of deposit accounts. Develops branch personnel into highly proficient people in public relations, customer service and technical knowledge. Responsible for the branch in the absence of the Branch Operations Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:


  • Oversee daily branch operations, including managing staff, ensuring branch opening and closing procedures are followed, and completing operational tasks, reports, and assignments.
  • Review and authorize transactions within established limits, ensuring compliance with Bank policies and procedures.
  • Manage cash drawer, ensuring accurate cash handling, balancing, and completion of service-related tasks as necessary. Review daily operational reports to monitor branch performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure branch compliance with Bank policies through regular audits and certification processes, addressing any discrepancies promptly.
  • Maintain responsibility for the accuracy, consistency, and timely completion of tasks, ensuring audit efficiency and compliance.
  • Assist the Branch Manager in employee training, coaching, development, and managing disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Address customer inquiries, resolve complex issues related to services, new accounts, and complaints, and assign appropriate follow-up actions to ensure customer satisfaction with timely and effective solutions.
  • Open and review all consumer and business account types with accuracy.
  • Input and process domestic and foreign wire requests accurately without assistance.
  • Identify sales opportunities to cross-sell banking products and services, referring customers to relevant departments or business partners.
  • Contribute to promoting a positive workplace culture that fosters high performance, employee morale, and inclusivity.
  • Represent the Bank in community events and business development initiatives, enhancing the Bank's visibility and fostering client engagement.
  • Adhere to all Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) policies, including the proper processing of Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs), Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs), and Monetary Instrument Logs (MILs).
  • Stay current with applicable federal regulations, including Bank Secrecy, Customer Information Program (CIP), and Know Your Customer (KYC) principles, ensuring full compliance in all transactions.
  • Perform other duties or special projects as assigned by management within the scope of the position.
  • Provide coverage at other branch locations as necessary, ensuring continuity of service across the Bank's network.



QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):


  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2-3 years experience in a similar capacity with supervisory responsibilities.
  • Capable of direction of staff activities and motivation of personnel.
  • Thorough knowledge of bank policies and procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and ability to function in a team environment or work independently.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and customer service skills.
