PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
As a Senior Document Controller at Worley, you will serve as the lead for document management on assigned projects, acting as the key liaison between project personnel and clients. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the integrity, accuracy, and traceability of project documentation throughout the full project lifecycle. This includes managing the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS), guiding project teams on documentation protocols, and safeguarding compliance with both internal standards and client requirements. Your work directly supports Worley's promise to deliver sustainable change and maintain operational excellence as we bridge conventional and sustainable energy solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Lead and oversee all document control activities on assigned projects, ensuring consistent and accurate document management practices are maintained.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for document control issues between project teams and clients, ensuring transparency and alignment.
  • Manage the entire document lifecycle, including receipt, validation, revision control, tracking, and issuance using Worley's EDMS.
  • Ensure all project documentation meets established quality standards and contains appropriate metadata and revision history.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, construction, and project management teams to ensure timely document workflows and approvals.
  • Provide guidance, mentoring, and training to junior team members and ensure knowledge transfer of best practices in document control.
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of document control procedures, systems, and tools, contributing to efficiency and innovation in line with Worley's sustainability objectives.
  • Maintain compliance with organizational policies and support audits and project reviews as required.
  • Engage in cross-functional communication to inform, advise, and align on documentation strategies that support the long-term goals of our customers and the business.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLSET



  • Technical diploma or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Extensive experience in document control within complex project environments, ideally in the energy, chemicals, or resources sectors.
  • Proficiency with Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) and a strong understanding of documentation lifecycle management.
  • Advanced organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage large volumes of technical and contractual documentation.
  • Experience applying standardized document control principles, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
  • Capable of exercising independent judgment in complex situations while aligning with company policies and project objectives.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to prepare reports, deliver presentations, and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability with experience guiding less experienced professionals and fostering a culture of quality and accountability.
  • Familiarity with sustainability-related documentation practices is an asset, aligning with Worley's ambition to lead in sustainability solutions.
