Why M Physicians?

The Coding Associate position is responsible for the accurate and timely coding using ICD-10CM and CPT coding conventions. Ensures accurate diagnoses, procedure codes and other specified data to ensure appropriate/optimal reimbursement for facility and/or professional charges using information from medical records and following established methods and procedures.

What you will do as a Coding Associate:
  • Codes basic diagnostic, Evaluation and Management or procedural services applying current billing and coding regulations and policies
  • Completes billing documents for data entry, ensuring all billing fields are complete and accurate
  • Ensure that all charges are captured by using reports or processes daily and following up accordingly
  • Provide timely feedback to Providers regarding documentation or coding issues
  • Provide education ongoing as needed
  • Complete daily Flowcast/Epic work-files and task files as assigned
  • Performs special projects, as requested
What you will need:
  • HS grad or equivalent with medical terminology and some coding knowledge and training
  • Graduate of an accredited coding program and/or two years of medical billing experience
  • CCS, CCS-P, CPC, CPC-A, CCA, RHIT, and/or RHIA Certification achieved within 12 months
  • Able to interpret and understand medical content, including knowledge of CPT and ICD-10-CM coding
  • Ability to use computer and medical billing systems
  • Highly detailed and organized; proven prioritization skills and ability to multi-task

Location: At this time, this position will be working remote.

Hours: 1.0 FTE (Monday-Friday)

Compensation:

21.20 - 30.74 USD Hourly
